Judging Rules for 2017 Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance

System: Judges will be using the objective criteria of AUTHENTICITY, CONDITION, APPEARANCE, of the vehicles various overall areas (exterior, interior, engine compartment) along with the subjective criteria’s (BEAUTY, DESIGN, RARITY, SIGNIFICANCE, PRESENTATION, AND VISUAL IMPACT) which defines the car.

Process: Below are the areas and “weightings”

    VEHICLES EXTERIOR:

    The overall visual review and judging of the cars exterior areas using the objective criteria’s of Authenticity, Condition, Appearance of the cars exterior to include
    (paint and finish, body panel fit, chrome and brightwork, glass, tires and wheels, plus any additional appointments). Total Points = 40

    VEHICLES INTERIOR:

    The overall visual review and judging of the car’s interior areas using the objective criteria’s of Authenticity, Condition and Appearance of the car’s interior area to include (seats, interior panels, carpeting/mats, headliner, convertible top or boot, steering wheel, gauges, dash, other appointments). Total Points = 20

    The overall visual review and judging of the car’s engine area using the objective criteria’s of Authenticity, Condition and Appearance of the car’s engine area, engine and engine compartment). Total Points = 20

    VEHICLES OVERALL PRESENTATION / SIGNIFICANCE:

    The overall visual appeal and significance (design, history, engineering etc) of the car using the subjective criteria’s of Beauty, Design, Rarity, Significance, and Elegance. Total Points = 20
